On March 9, 2017 at Norbulingka Institute with His Holiness the Dalai Lama the celebration of the presentation of the 25 Thangka’s was made. The ceremony included His Holiness the Dalai Lama, the Yeshi family and the Tibetan community in Dharamshala, India. After His Holiness entered and viewed all of the thangka’s the event began by reflecting on the 20 plus years Norbulingka has been operating as a cultural institution for preserving Tibetan culture. The event included wonderful remarks by His Holiness the Dalai Lama on the philosophy of Tibetan Buddhism and it’s future importance of generations to come. His skillful teaching reflected on the state of impermanence and how each of can make a contribution to future generations by passing on the wisdom and insights learned over a century from Tibetans. The comments by the Dalai Lama included comments on the importance of logic and rational thinking for emotional well being. The development of one’s mind in these practices allows for a deep understanding of the importance of compassion toward other human beings and oneself.
Embracing Compassion was extremely grateful to be included in at this auspicious celebration. HIs Holiness the Dalai Lama ended his remarks before leaving to spend time discussing the importance for Embracing Compassion and his desire to share his message with others so they can learn the way to a better world with less human suffering is through compassion. His clarity of intention is for the benefit of all sentient beings with human beings as the primary focus.
